Amerika – a Nation Occupied

“America is like a healthy body and its resistance is threefold: its patriotism, its morality and its spiritual life. If we can undermine these three areas, America will collapse from within.” -Joseph Stalin. In the 1987 television miniseries ‘Amerika’, the United States has indeed collapsed – and the Soviet Union has occupied it along with most of the world. Today we are joined by special guest Ethnach, who lived through this very memorable period of the Cold War, to discuss what resemblance if any ‘Amerika’ bears to America today and the implications that follow.

  1. Another sobering pod-cast with a strangely up-beat finish. As emphasized, it’s important to take the long-view for many reasons. Not so e-z while living in a “culture” with short attention span. In any case, I appreciate the depth of your work. Red Ice used to luxuriate in deep-dives that both questioned and reaffirmed foundations. But then they were forced into survival mode, after making themselves a big target. Now, almost every pod-cast is a kinda SOS call.
