In a time of increasing skepticism of globalization, stemming from losses in jobs, cultural heritage, and sovereignty over ones own homeland, nationalism has re-emerged onto the political stage in protest movements and increasingly populist governments. Christian nationalism, focused on the incorporation of church doctrine into a nation and often a sovereign, is not a new concept, stemming at least from the time of the Treaty of Westphalia in 1648, but recently has re-emerged as a potential solution to the social ills many societies face in the West. Tonight we are joined by Woe, co-host of the Stone Choir podcast, to make the case for how and why this might be a good way forward for many of the discontented souls of today.

As a long time listener and a Spaniard. It’s good to be reminded from time to time that, for Anglos, we Spaniards are not Europeans and pretty much blacks. “Perfidious Albion” is a moniker for a reason and as much as I like much of your commentary. It seems that clearly we’re on opposite sides and I bet if you could clean America by sending all your mestizos to Spain you would.
Yeah, perfidious like Jews… sad because there are many Anglos that see themselves as European but, not all.

Buenos dias. If I can speak on behalf of our guest, he was joking. I know for a fact he sympathized with the plight of Catholics in Spain during the 1930s and supported the fight against the communists there.

Not sure whether Jews stood up Christianity as controlled opposition or if it was truly a miracle. My hunch is that 2000 years of interpretation and grifting has distorted Jesus’s message to mean whatever the grifter claims it does. All seems a lot more Judeo than Christian lately

Adam, your point on wanting to discuss issues at church is done at men’s clubs of members of the church not during mass

I think Adams comment comparing modern church services/mass to podcasts shows how fundamentally hollowed out and secular our entire reality has become. Reduction of what 100 years ago was still the spiritual focal point of much of the west now serves nothing more than an empty political seat for most.
Nothing negative against Adam. We are all products of what we grow up in here and I think most of us have a hard time even conceptualizing what a massive place religion played in our recent ancestors lives.
Love the show and thanks for continuing to do what you guys do. Y’all are the only podcast that really made it through the post trump filter.
